Rev. Vahridj Baghdasaryan

Pfarrer Vahridsch Baghdasaryan, birth/baptismal name Vanand, was born on August 1, 1992 in Armenia, Aparan.

Between the years 1999 – 2009 he attended school in the city of Lusagyugh, then in Aparan. In 2009 he was admitted to the "Gevorkyan" Theological Academy of St. Echmiadzin and graduated in 2015. He received a master's degree through his master's/diploma thesis: "Theology of Wedding Ceremony as Sacrament".

On December 25, 2014 in the Cathedral of Gregory the Illuminator in Yerevan, on the feast of the first deacon and the martyr St. Stephen, he was ordained a deacon by Bishop Hovakim Manukyan. Between the years 2015 – 2016 he served in the Catholicate of All Armenians in the Secretariat of His Holiness.

By order of His Holiness the Catholicos Karekin II he came to Germany as a deacon in the diocese of the Armenian Church. On July 23, 2017 he was ordained a priest by Archbishop Karekin Bekdjian in the Surp Khatsch Church in Aparan and placed in pastoral service in Germany.

Through the blessing and order of the Primate, HE Bishop Serovpe Isakhanyan, Pastor Vahridsch was installed as parish pastor in Cologne and the surrounding area and northern Rhineland-Palatinate from October 1, 2017. Pastor Vahridsch Baghdasaryan is married and has two sons.
